The Sokovia Incident is an important part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It happened in April 2015, when The Avengers were battling Ultron. This being was an uncontrollable artificial intelligence made by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. This occurred in Novi Grad, Sokovia. Ultron's idea was to lift the city up and then let it drop, which would lead to a worldwide devastation. This almost wiped out Novi Grad as there were lots of civilian deaths and major destruction of infrastructure. It sparked a worldwide dialogue about the unrestrained power of superheroes.
